#2 Can't get it to work

I have been looking for a good php-based alternative to
the java-based chatroom I currently use on my site so
that more people can access my chatroom. The first
client I tried didn't work right, and I discovered this one
last night. I installed it and was pleased to see that it
connected to the server. The problem is, I can't get it
to go past that point. After identifying to NickServ, it
gives me the "password accepted" stuff, and that's
where the problems begin. I can't get to my chatroom
and in the area where it would normally show the
nicknames, it says "Please wait for nicknames". I wait a
long time and it never loads the room. What should I do?
My host has the maximum execution time set to 30
seconds. Should I see if they will change that? My
