Development Ongoing!

So, if you've been checking the Mercurial repository, you can see that I've been busy this past week as I've picked up my development efforts again (don't ask me why I started again - I'm just glad I am!). I've actually put most of my changes into a new branch called "MVP Changeover", because I wanted to make sure that I was committing more often, and pushing up when I was done, even if that means I'm submitting broken code. I'll often also leave myself comments in the code so that I can quickly resume my progress, because I realized I was spending too much time getting myself re-acquainted with the problems every time I started.

Most of the changes related to the MVP Changeover are on the codebase and are architectural, so you will see minor changes to the UI and workflow, if any. I'm essentially re-writing the early portions of the site that I made with spaghetti code (read: PHP and HTML intermingled, no object oriented approach, very fragile code).

It's become apparent this week that this is a pretty daunting task, albeit a fun one - I get to go back and re-think the same problems that I solved earlier, even though I used substandard methods to do so. It's as if I've gotten a second chance to finish this test, and so far I'm happy with the results.

Hope to see you fantasy football drafters soon, here's to hoping the millionaires and billionaires can decide on a dollar figure!
