#24 install error

I can not get this package to compile. I run configure as
follows:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios --with-
imagedir=/usr/local/nagios/share/images/ --with-
cgidir=/use/local/nagios/sbin --with-
http_image_path=/nagios/images

then my make install command always stops with this
error:

libtool: install: warning: remember to run `libtool --
finish /usr/local/lib'
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=install /usr/bin/install -
c 'libpp_storage_mysql.la' '/usr/local/nagios/lib/libpp_stor
age_mysql.la'
libtool: install: error: cannot install
`libpp_storage_mysql.la' to a directory not ending
in /usr/local/lib
make[2]: *** [install-libLTLIBRARIES] Error 1

If I run configure without setting the --prefix I can run
install but the files go to /usr/local/bin and I can't get
the program to run that way.

I forgot to add, this is happening with version 105.5 and 105.6
