I'd like to introduce this program to a friend of mine,
who unfortunately is a little bit ... anglophob :). It
seems there already is a mechanism in place which
allows localization of PDesk, but currently only an
english and a french version seem to exist.
A german version would certainly give at least one more
user, but probably more :)

If I can be of any help for this issue, please let me know.
If I'd know the format of the pdesk.mo file, I could go for
this localization myself and submit the result here.

Hi, can those interested in the German translation please
contact me through SourceForge or this item, and we can
    perhaps get a translation underway?

    Thanks
    Rick

slightly off-topic: I'd go for the translation, but
unfortunately the source I can download or checkout doesn't
compile on Windows (with cygwin, if this matters):
    - pdesk/makefile contains a target 'certificate', which requires
the directory 'certificates', which does not exist (and 'all'
    depends on 'certificate'
    - after removing this, everything compiles, but does not run,
with a log file entry as follows:
AttributeError: 'ProgectTreePlus' object has no attribute
    'ViewStart'
This is the point where I stopped, since it seems to me as
if the source is not up-to-date :(

If I'd get this to compile, I'd invest the time to translate
    the english version ...
