No

This appears to be the same problem that is being reported by people with other variants of this
card. I have looked at the bug history, and tried the 'down_poll_rate=0' modification, to no avail.
I am running the 3.1.25 of cardbus on RedHat Linux v7.0, kernel 2.2.17. The port seems to lock up
when I start to move large volumes of data. Web page browsing and telnet work fine, but uploads
or downloads freeze it within seconds. The system is a Compaq Presario 1274. Please let me know
if I can provide more details to help you locate this issue. Thx, Rob.

Also wanted to note that I am getting an insmod error at
    boot, warning of a delayed
initalization, but the port is still configured.

I experience the same problems with that card.
    Kernel 2.2.20
    pcmcia-3.1.31

This seems to be a very long-standing bug (2-3 years old)
Some people on mailinglists state that there is a fix,
    others
say that the 3c59x module that comes with the kernel is
    fixed.

I also read: > you should upgrade to pcmcia-cs-3.1.20.
    That release
    > has these things fixed and the 3com
    driver will be
    > significantly better.

I cannot confirm any of these fixes.

    Too bad
