#958 desktop manager background color / font size with gtk3

I'm using gtk3 versions of pcmanfm and libfm built from git on Arch linux:

on reboot the desktop font size reverts to gtk default rather than the size input on the desktop preferences window

using the background color picker on the desktop preferences window doesn't work, the background remains black even if I select a non-black color (Wallpaper Mode is set to "Fill with background color only")

when selecting a color using the background color picker on the desktop preferences window, the font size resets to gtk default value even if I had previously selected an alternate font size on the desktop preferences window

I cannot reproduce your issue on my system. Although gtk3 here is relatively old so newer gtk3 may be a culprit. I'll try it on other system when I get to one. Thank you.

I tested a few different version of gtk3.

The background color worked OK in v3.8.4, but did not work in any later version I tried, including the current version v3.16.3.

The font reset to the gtk default on reboot in every gtk3 version I tried, including the current version v3.16.3. The oldest version I had available was v3.8.4.

Thank you very much for your discoveries.

I have 3.4.2 here (Debian Wheezy), and also have no lxsession running, it also might be a culprit. I've freshly installed Lubuntu Trusty for my nieces (which has 3.10.8) so will have a chance to test it there when time permits. I don't use bleeding edge software just because it's too raw and buggy but I have neither time nor desire to fight bugs in applications which I don't have any idea about the code so apparently would not fix. BTW, current GTK3 version is 3.17.1 (in their GIT). :)

I hope the issue with font is fixed in current GIT sources of pcmanfm. Test it when possible and let me know if something is still wrong with it. Issue with desktop background color is not solved yet, it appears GTK3 changed it too much lately, and it doesn't work with gtk 3.10.8 without lxsession too so lxsession isn't a problem. Thank you very much.
