Maybe the event text entry in the configuration file should have
the same x- and y-offset capability as the images?

I suppose that, ideally, you'd also be able to specify a specific font name,
font size, and font color too, for each event in the configuration file.

some UTF-8/Unicode testing to see if 'pcal' could be made to
support languages (like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc) not covered by
ISO8859 fonts
