Parse to Database / News: Recent posts

It's time for first real release! Now parse is fully writed, including shift detection and correction, and fully rules check.
I have tested this release with a real data text file of 2.2 Megabyte of about 23000 record of 6 field, the time of execution on my Duron 1000 is only 8,23 seconds!

Hi men! This the first release of the program. It is minimally debugged but all works. In this stage, the only database engine support is MySQL. The binary version is compiled with the mysqlclient 3.23.54 library. I think that it will work with new mysq version also. Otherwise just recompile it. In future i think to implement other db engine. The next release will accept input from stdin and output on stdout, so, you can use this program directly with the serial interface, like "$/dev/ttyS0 | parse --stdin rules mysqlinfo".... read more
