This works fine on Fedora Core 3, but it fails on
Fedora Core 5. Fedora Core 5 is using GCC 4.0.

I'm unable to compile parasol using GCC 4.0 on Ubuntu Dapper
Drake. Did you change any compilation parameters?

My compile errors may also be due to using an x64 architecture.
