What would you like it to do? We have several choices: 1. Report (after a timeout) as no devices present on that owserver, and = keep reporting that until reconnected. 2. Have a separate means of testing status and response. Adding a = "present" flag would have nice homology with the 1-wire device structure. 3. Error and die. I'm glad some people already developed something useful for 1-Wire and Linux. I have already played a little with owfs and the sample chips I have here, but now first questions arise: * The host platform will be MIPS (AMD Alchemy), not i386. May there be any problems with that e.g. Endian-issues? * The machine will have more than one host. Regarding what data is stored, for the direction, saving the 0-15 integer will be sufficient. I read an interesting article on Consensus Averaging (http://www.aagelectronica.com/aag/index.html?target=p_30.html&lang=en-us), but I think I should store the converted data (0-15) and do any averaging later. Would you agree ? For the wind speed, I can calculate the speed from the rotation counter, (http://www.aagelectronica.com/aag/index.html?target=p_30.html&lang=en-us). I have created the tar-files now, and it's available on the project-page. http://www.sf.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=85502&package_id=143220 firmware-1.0 Is a new flash-image with the latest cvs-version of owfs and temploggerd. firmware-1.0-src Is the source and diffs which should be applied to the ewrt-0.3 source tree. I have tried to run the latest owfs and owserver locally on the wrt54g router, and right now it doesn't seem to leak any memory. The leak I noticed before may only occur when owserver is used with remote hosts or something similar. I cannot get the elapsed time counter to work, date and udate, it always reads back as 1 second past the reference time (midnight at the beginning of 1/1/70) and 1 from utime. It neither writes nor counts. I have read through the data sheet, and the OWFS documentation and I can't find out why it shouldn't work. Has anyone else seen this working? The second set of voltages is just the first set at half intensity. As I recall, the voltage range is either 0-5 or 0-2.5 and the Volts2 is the same readings interpreted over the smaller range. No additional information.
