#3 IO_errors during plot

I'm using OS 10.5 and my Y-105 usb-serial-adapter is working almost: Sending valid plotting data works with prolific drivers, but not with PL2303 driver. Using PL2303 IO_errors are displayed on the plotter occasionally. Unfortunally the prolific driver has some other problems (port is blocking using mimkai cutting software), and I would prefer to use PL2303. As I'm new to OSX I need some hints how to find the problem.
