#218 Menu Button needs to be clicked twice to fire Event

How to reproduce:
- Run the application "domo" from the distribution
- Click the menu button Function5 (which is at top level) on the top menu bar
- On the opened frame, click the close button [X]

Expected behavior: The frame should close
Actual behavior: The frame is still open

The frame is closed after the button is clicked the second time.

This appears to be related to the fact that the menu button is a top level menu item.

May be the example needs to be changed?
