#350 Verse options to temporary (project) slide like a normal song

Hi,

Sometimes we change a song a little bit to make it more personal. Since it is only used once, I add a project slide (so I don't make a new song in the database).

I would like the new slide to have the same characteristics as all other songs, like verses. Now I have to make 3 slides if we're singing a song with 3 temporary verses.

These are just my thoughts:
To duplicate the functionality of the Song slide in the Custom slide makes little sense to me. The two types of slides have different purposes.

Have you seen the Insert: Slide toolbutton to the right of the Slide Editor editor control? It let's you split one entry in the Set into several slides, each with the same style. All that is missing now is some of the (mandatory) information about the song, it's author and copyright agency; and you cannot navigate these using shortcut keys for verse, chorus, bridge etc. Of course you can also type the three dashes on the start of a new line of its own yourself directly into the editor area.

One feature I could think of, that might be useful and probably not that hard to implement, which would make your life even easyer than your proposal, was a feature to save changes to a song to the set instead of to the song. This way you would add the original Song to the set, then modify the song there and save modifications to the set.

Another way to handle your scenario, (how I would solve this right now, if I needed that sort of functionality,) was to copy the song to a folder dedicated to that purpose, modify the song there and periodically clean out that folder.

This is is a known issue that has been solved in the code a while back, right after this was discovered in the RC. It has to do with the UI on songs not being updated properly. Right before the save you can see this because the various dropdowns on the advanced song editing screen are empty.

This will be solved in the next release.
