Problem installing OpenGatekeeper under WinNT 4.0
Status: Alpha

When I try to launch opengatekeeper installation by typing "opengate install", a window appears ( MSVC error application window) saying something like:
The instruction at "0x004280a5" uses memory address "0x000001". The memory can be read.
(It is a translation of what I can read, sorry...)
Two choices are displayed: - debug the application: the G711 file is opened with MSVC
- close the application
It seems to speak about access violation.
Any idea please?
Thanks,
Laurent.
I am having the same problem. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
David
Laurent,
I experienced the same problem. I suspect there is a problem with the executable. In order to get a working gatekeeper I downloaded the source code for the gate gatekeeper along with the OpenH323 code and compiled them all. This may seem a lot of work but it was surprisingly simple and a PhD in Geekdome is not required. It took me a few hours to do I made it down to the pub in plenty of time for a few pints!
Best of luck,
David.
There appears to be a problem with the precompiled binaries, probably either a versioning problem with the OpenH323 binaries or with the MSVC runtime.
The suggested solution for the moment is to recompile the source, it's a chore but it shouldn't be too hard.
