Do you know of anyone who has attempted CFD simulation of an overshot waterwheel? Simulation problems for such are similar to Pelton turbines - free surfaces, rotating boundaries, air entrapment, secondary flows, pressure drops, wetting, pulse movement, etc). Is there an expectation that openFlower could develop to this functionality?

At the moment, the capabilities that are needed for such computational studies are not implemented in OpenFlower : two-phase flows (VOF or other), rotating boundaries...
In the near future, I expect to develop a capability to take into account moving boundaries inside a computational domain, such as rotating elements, propellers, valves...
