Hi, I am installing and had a similar issue to the forum post "Error in view definition during installation". I today installed Odoo onto Ubuntu 14.04 from git as described at http://www.theopensourcerer.com/2014/09/how-to-install-openerp-odoo-8-on-ubuntu-server-14-04-lts/ . I then pulled OdooPLM and added its directory to the addons_path. Everything came up great. I tried installing the OdooPLM module several times with a fresh company/database and each time the same error was logged. Attached is the complete log file from database creation to just after the error. Let me know if you need any more information.

    Hello Chris,
    Thanks for your interest in our Odoo PLM module.
    This issue is due to missing names in some secondary views. We are going to provide to update on SourceForge repository up today.
    Meanwhile, fresh updates are on line, in real time, on Odoo Apps portal.

    So, please, download it again and retry.
