In order to cut Long discussions short I'd suggest to add the characters @, #, $ (and Cent?) to the range of acceptable variale names or part thereof.
Similarly it would be nice to accept s=; in lieu of s=''
Say; is accepted in lieu of Say '', after all.
If there's any 'Regression problem' please let me know.
