could it be possible to include conversion of pdf to tiff within the application? so that a user does not have to convert pdf to tiff first then using ocrgui to ocr?
by the way, looking great. looking for something like this for a long time.

Yes, it could be possible. OcrGui already converts images in BMP and TIFF before passing them to OCR engines.

yes. right now, i am using a ruby code found on the internet some time ago. In principle, you can use "gs" to convert a pdf to tiff. Please refer to this: http://amanzi.blogspot.com/2008/07/linux-open-source-ocr-batch-processing.html
