#1 bit depths and pixel_data formats

1. would it be possible to to have multiple types for pixel_data arrays?

type 'a pixel_data = ...

so that one can use the Array1.fill routine to set colors on 16 and 32bit surfaces...

2. will 8-bit surfaces be supported?

Sorry for the late response. We have first choose to use
only one type of pixel but in the future we hope using more
types (if it is usefull). We do not plan to use 8bit
surfaces.
