Hi! I'm trying to adapt the gpu_marcher code for use in a project, but I'm running into some difficulties. In particular I'm not sure what layout in the texture to use - so far I've either got total chaos, or some rewrapping into discrete layers in 3D instead of small coherent blobs. Screenshots of my test "point cloud" output are here: http://permacultures.goto10.org/blog/2010-09-23_days_6_and_7.html I want to give them a solid appearance. A couple of screenshots of my failing test output are here: http://claudiusmaximus.goto10.org/g/rd3x/marching-cubes-fail-layers-1.png http://claudiusmaximus.goto10.org/g/rd3x/marching-cubes-fail-layers-2.png My 2D texture is packed like this: +----+----+----+----+ |z=0 |z=1 |z=2 |z=3 | +----+----+----+----+ |z=4 |z=4 |z=6 |z=7 | +----+----+----+----+ |z=8 |z=9 |z=10|z=11| +----+----+----+----+ |z=12|z=13|z=14|z=15| +----+----+----+----+ that is, tiles of (x,y) slices arranged in a larger texture. Many thanks for any advice! Or if this is not the best forum to be asking in, let me know where would be better :) Claude -- http://claudiusmaximus.goto10.org |
