With NPP if I am editing a file and using NPPFTP sometimes the connection is disconnected but you can't really tell until you look down at the bottom and the ftp status window tells you it failed to save. Inevitably I forget to check and wonder why my updates didn't take. Even if I do notice it is annoying to have to reconnect and resave. It wouldnt be SO bad if NPP didn't actually show the file as saved already (blue floppy icon), and therefore require me to modify the unsaved "saved" version of the file so that it registers as unsaved (red floppy icon), in order to resave it. That last piece is probably part of NPP's issues, I guess, but if NPPFTP could automatically reconnect (or try to reconnect and ask for password, then save) that would be really cool.
Similarly, If NppFTP has access to the saved path of a document, can NppFTP be made to or reprogrammed to interrupt the saving process, cue off the site character string or username in the path, find and reconnect to the appropriate profile and continue the save?l Not just for auto-reconnect but for cached FTP files as well.
