However after >make install i don't see following entries:
# processname: /usr/bin/proxy.ganesha.nfsd
# config: /etc/ganesha/proxy.ganesha.nfsd.conf
# pidfile: /var/run/nfs-ganesha.pid
Same question as in another thread : which version of ganesha are you running ?
The path you list (and which are used in /etc/init.d/ganesha) are the one set in the RPM package. I am afraid that "make install" puts them in different places.

I followed the steps mentioned in http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/nfs-ganesha/wiki/PROXY
However after >make install i don't see following entries:
# processname: /usr/bin/proxy.ganesha.nfsd
# config: /etc/ganesha/proxy.ganesha.nfsd.conf
# pidfile: /var/run/nfs-ganesha.pid
as mentioned in https://github.com/phdeniel/nfs-ganesha/blob/master/src/nfs-ganesha.proxy.init
I am trying it on ubuntu 13.04.
