I am using the nightly ndiswrapper tarball from Jan 2. After startup, and enabling the wireless device, I get rapidly increasing "invalid misc" numbers from iwconfig. The "Tx excessive retries" numbers also keep going up, although not as fast. Fairly soon, the network connection becomes useless -- I can't ping anything, even my router. I don't know how to "reset" the situation except by rebooting -- it is not enough to do an ifdown/ifup cycle. [A side note: When I used the 1.0rc1, I had a serious problem with kernel panics, once every hour or so, complaining about "scheduling while atomic". Would it be worth trying a different version of the Broadcom driver, I'm using the one supplied with the Belkin card. It sounds from the original post that upgrading (from 0.12) to the latest CVS isn't going to help. Is there any diagnostic output I could supply that would help in tracking this down? It is still happening, and occasionally causing the whole machine to freeze.
