How about a theme that looks pretty much just like the
standard napkin one, but instead is oriented around a
"notebook" type of background.

Here's an example of the look I mean:

It might even be fun to try one out that looks like
it's written on aged paper, like an old DaVinci diagram
or something:

    The notebook has the problem that it would be very hard to make the
    layout pay any attention at all to the lines on the page. So it would look
    like someone had completely ignored the paper it was written on, which
    seems, I think, unlikely. But it's pretty easy to try it out -- get a tiling
    image for that and just overwrite paper.gif in the resources. When you
    start it up you can see if it looks OK. If so, it would be pretty easy to
    add a new theme with that kind of change.
