musicexamples is part of the openLilyLib family of resources related to LilyPond and LaTeX.

It is mainly a LaTeX package to manage music examples. It has a strong focus on examples created with LilyPond but this isn't a prerequisite to use it.

Your main place to go from here is the project website openLilyLib, but you can also directly go to:

If you are interested in typesetting documents about music with LaTeX you should also check out lilyglyphs which allows to include LilyPond's notational elements in continuous text of LaTeX documents.
