#179 Huge problems with Windows Media files

First: Fine work! Best OS X player by far.
...this might be not the right adress for this, but:
I'm experiencing more and more problems with Windows Media
player 9 content. MPlayer (newest) almost always crashes at
starting WMP9 files (.wmv). VLC has similar problems. Only fu**ing
Windows Media Player itself and Flip4Mac WMV-Player (Quicktime-
Plugin) can play this stuff. Is there any hope that this will be fixed in
further releases? Or is it impossible to decode that wmv-codec by
"reverse engineering"...(Sure, Microsoft is not interested in it...)?
