The luatex version of miktex (0.76) lags behind texlive (0.79.1), and when using luaotfload one already get warnings "Module luaotfload-main warning: LuaTeX v0.76 is old, v0.79 or later is recommended." It is possible that the next version of luaotfload will no longer work with the luatex from miktex. See the end of this bug report: https://github.com/lualatex/luaotfload/issues/265.
