Dear Zsofia, I am sorry for delay, we have been working on harvesting a lot. Regarding your question the best way would be to send us (or put on box.net) all your sdx files. These files can be found in mpf/pub-mpf/conf in these directories: dcollection, institution, pcollection, service and project. Dear all, =20 I use 2 workspaces at this moment Workspace 1 Geheugen van Nederland I use automatic generation of identifiers, with fixed prefix NL-DC- for digital collections for instance. =20 I copied a record from 'digital collections' in the Geheugen van Nederland workspace to the same folder in Workspace 1 I can understand that the system then generates a new identifier to keep the copied record unique. But to my surprise the prefix has change to MPF-DC-etc.=20 Did anyone else have an experience like this and knows how to solve this? =20 Is it related to Petr Coban's comment on bug no 4, that was sent last week? =20 TIA Kind regards Henk ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Henk Matthezing Koninklijke Bibliotheek / National Library of the Netherlands Research & Development - project coordinator MICHAEL+ and STITCH POB 90407 - 2509 LK Den Haag / The Hague - The Netherlands=20 Phone: +31 70 31 40 687 - Mobile: +31 6 12 46 17 55 hen...@kb... <mailto:hen...@kb...> - http://www.kb.nl - http://www.michael-culture.org/ - http://stitch.cs.vu.nl/ =20 |

Dear Martin, all, =20 Since I added extra fields for multiligual title and abstract, using the simple view option in the dropdown menu at the line end of each digital collection entry in the digital collection folder displays the digital collection factsheet with 'abstract2' and 'title2' words (being the id's of the new fields) =20 What I want displayed is the field name ('anderstalige titel' and 'anderstalige beschrijving') and the content of the field, but I can't find the xml or xsl file where I could add these. Does anyone know where I have to look and change things?=20 =20 TIA Kind regards Henk ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Henk Matthezing Koninklijke Bibliotheek / National Library of the Netherlands Research & Development - project coordinator MICHAEL+ and STITCH POB 90407 - 2509 LK Den Haag / The Hague - The Netherlands=20 Phone: +31 70 31 40 687 - Mobile: +31 6 12 46 17 55 hen...@kb... <mailto:hen...@kb...> - http://www.kb.nl - http://www.michael-culture.org/ - http://stitch.cs.vu.nl/ =20 |

Dear colleagues =20 Problem solved, I've found the cause. In the lists dir of the MPF-1.6RC1 distribution in last June there were = a departements.xml and a regions.xml containing the French departments = and French regions descriptions. =20 The regions.xml I rewrote and translated to contain the 12 provinces of = the Netherlands (using a 4 character alphanumerical code to distinguish = from the two digit numerical code in the French version) and deleted = departements.xml from the Lists directory deep down in the init branch. =20 I copied this list back form a backup and imported it into the platform = as usual.=20 The second form page of the institution type now displays properly, but = with an empty (because not translated) list for the d=E9partements = (pronounced French-like;-)=20 Regions field is showing the names of the 12 Dutch provinces correctly. =20 The only thing I'm still wondering about is why the second page of the = digital collection did show without the subjects.xml being imported in = the MPF (due to character errors in the file) and in the this case an = error message is produced because of a missing list in the MPF. I guess = analogue situations should be addressed the same way, but apparently = they're not. But that is minor issue. =20 Sorry for possibly having taken up some of your time reading my mails. =20 Regards Henk =20 =20 PS=20 I'll see if deleting the widgets for departements is a possible solution = to get rid of the empty drop down menu. =20 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Henk Matthezing Koninklijke Bibliotheek / National Library of the Netherlands Research & Development - project coordinator MICHAEL+ and STITCH POB 90407 - 2509 LK Den Haag / The Hague - The Netherlands=20 Phone: +31 70 31 40 687 - Mobile: +31 6 12 46 17 55 hen...@kb... <mailto:hen...@kb...> - = http://www.kb.nl - http://www.michael-culture.org/ - = http://stitch.cs.vu.nl/ ________________________________ Van: mic...@am... Dear Anna et al Have to correct myself on the reproduction point. =20 I added a workspace 2 in workspacemanagement: seemed to go right. "test" in the sense that there are some little things to improve but it seems to install and work correctly. Tomorrow, all this, and enriched documentation, will be put on Sourceforge. Also, as soon as I receive the report from last Monday's meeting, I will communication the action plan for the platform until July 12th. Please note that all URLs below are temporary. Do not communicate them too largely. So first of all, use this new installation documentation: http://projets.ajlsm.com/michael/20070607/install_en.pdf The process is not really different than before. Hello All, I solved the problem with the passwords - it was the missing tag in the new version of translation of list file (countries.xml). That prevented DB to be properly initialized after the first run (hopefully logs told me about that ;). I have now one minor issue - login screen language does not change after I pick up the different language. After the login procedure, language is set correctly. Is it only my instance problem? ps. I've never > bothered to compile ImageMaigck on Windows, the binaries work just fine. This is exactly one of the things I wanted to know. And it is not a question of documenting a package you didn't build. But one or two remarks on what (and how) ImageMagick is used in the MPF publication module could clarify a lot of things, but I assume I'll find this in the documentation.=20 And it is not that I don't trust open source binaries, but more having to explain things to our ICT management as the KB software policy is very strict and allows only for approved packages. And approval is what I'll have to get from them. =20 > > Has anyone done (trial) installation yet? Does the publication module > > work without this app and without using example thumbnail images? >=20 > Yes. as a matter of fact, the current module doesn't use the resizing > feature. Then I'm very curious what it is used for. On the fly resizing is a way of reducing the number of images, for only the full size image would have to be stored in a dir. But if it is not used for resizing, then thumbnails and full size images exist side by side and they could be retrieved using a query URL. Bu I'll wait for you finishing the documentation. Je vous remercie. Et mes salutations cordiales Henk |
