Hello, I've been running a 3dfx banshee on my home PC and comparing the rendering of DRI/XFree/Linux to the SGI I use at work. In particular, there is a demo in the "Green Book" named "molview". It renders fine with the DRI enabled, and on the SGI, but the atoms turn mostly white with DRI enabled. By commenting out some lines in render.c (glEnable SPECULAR stuff) the problem was minimized to some extent. What is the status of lighting effects in the DRI? With the DRI ENabled, the specular stuff is not displaying properly -- severely washed out/whitened. With the DRI DISabled, it looks fine. I'll try to duplicate it with some simpler code, on a regular drawing area, then post a proper bug report if it still happens. --- John |
