Where is it exactly "Apple ProRes 422" in your report?
I checked a ProRes file, I get e.g.:
Video
Format : ProRes
Format profile : High <-- I take this one from the codecID, not from raw stream, this is only informational and I may remove it later, isn't it your "HQ"?
Codec ID : apch
Bit rate : 152 Mbps
Width : 960 pixels
Height : 720 pixels
Frame rate : 50.000 fps
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:2
Scan type : Progressive
If I read Apple support pages nothing/HQ/LT/Proxy are only commercial names for different bitrates if ProRes compression (HQ = 1.5x more bitrate than standard, LT = 66% of standard, Proxy = 30% of standard)
I could implement the commercial name information from ProRes bit rates table in the white paper, is it what you are looking for?
Example: if format is ProRes, color subsampling 422, 1920*1080, 176 Mbps, commercial name is "ProRes 422 HQ".
In my example, the output would be:
Video
Format : ProRes
Commercial name : ProRes 422 HQ
Codec ID : apch
Bit rate : 152 Mbps
Width : 960 pixels
Height : 720 pixels
Frame rate : 50.000 fps
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:2
Scan type : Progressive
Note: in next version, I already implemented this kind of association for VC-3 (DNxHD).

ok, so after more reading of ProRes white papers, the "Profile" line is not good ("Profile" is for technical profile e.g. additional optional features from H264... and should not depend of the bitrate), I'll remove it in a future version and replace it with a "Commercial line".

Thank you, the commercial name was indeed what I was looking for.
I didn't notice the "Format profile : High", my bad!
