I'm wondering if support for these subtitles has actually been properly implemented in MediaInfo. The output I'm getting isn't exactly stella. Pointing MediaInfo at an m2ts file with TextST subtitles inside shows nothing but a single "menu" item with no language and pointing it at a playlist doesn't show which m2ts file the subtitles reside in, making it difficult to figure out where each subtitles stream comes from. (the subtitles are kept in separate, smaller m2ts files than the other tracks.)

yes it does but you have to use the last version from the trunk repository...

Cool, now I've just got to figure out what the hell that means.

this means that you have to compile the last source code available (at least MediaInfo library) in order to be able to list this kind of stream...

Yeah, I made the attempt and managed to get past some of the compiling errors, but my powers of concentration gave out when it complained it couldn't find a VS2012 folder in ZenLib, and of course there wasn't one in either of the versions I'd downloaded. I could make one but...

Anyway, at least I know the subtitles will be supported in the next version, all I'm really wondering now is if it identifies the font files the subtitles use as well.

nope, this doesnt identify the font used because this is stored in another place (mainly in AUXDATA folder, called 00111.otf refering to your example), not in the m2ts file itself.

If you can provide a such file, maybe we can try to implement something.

    Oh, um...

According to MakeMKV support the Subtitles reference the font file somehow in their headers (or at least somewhere that can be copied into Codec Private Data.)

I have 4 Blu Ray Rips with the Audio/Video removed in a zip file I made to upload to the MKVToolNix server. It contains The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (with 1 TextST subtitle track) and The Scorpion King. It comes out to about 200mb and I can upload it to your server if you like.

I should probably be uploading it to MakeMKV as well... And VLC...
