#1 How do I use it / cannot load .mayu file

Ok, I'm completely lost here. I understand so much
that this MUST be a cool tool if you can alter the
Windows keymappings to behave a litle like Emacs.

I've tried the emacsedit.mayu file and even altered it
to remove the Japanese characters which my system
chokes on. :)

I only get a lot of error messages in the log. Here
are some lines to show you how it looks:

I'm running my machine on a Swedish (it's almost like
English) NT4 SP6.

I'm happy to volunteer for any translation work to be
done. I cannot write or speak Japanese though... :)

Sorry, sample .mayu files contain Japanese characters, so
Mayu cannot
load them on non-Japanese Windows. (I know they should be
translated
into English)

I think what you did is:

1. edit "emacsedit.mayu" to remove Japanese characters.

2. set "emacsedit.mayu" on the filename field of the
Setting dialog
box.

Then, you got many errors. The errors indicate that no
keyboard
definition is loaded.

SOLUTION: in the step 2, the filename field should be
"D:\Program\mayu\dot.mayu", and the symbols field should be
"-DUSE104;-DUSEdefault".

Usually, the "dot.mayu" loads some .mayu files:

"104.mayu"
A keyboard definition for 104-keyboard (US keyboard). It is
loaded when -DUSE104 is specified. I think Swedish keyboard
is of this type, but it may have some extra keys.

"109.mayu"
A keyboard definition for 109-keyboard (Japanese keyboard).
It is loaded when -DUSE104 is NOT specified.

"default.mayu"
A sample keyboard customization file. It is loaded when
-DUSEdefault is specified. This file defines emacs-like
bindings for many applications, and loads "emacsedit.mayu".

"emacsedit.mayu"
For simplicity, emacs-like binding definitions are
separated
from "default.mayu".

So, do not attempt to load "emacsedit.mayu" insted
of "dot.mayu".
