Lanius is formally donating the Maximus code to the open source movement, and although we are technically relinquishing control of the project at this point, we do want to try to give it a "push" so that things get started in the right direction!

A lot of people will want to see the source for curiosity's sake, and that is fine. On the other hand, we have received lots of requests from users who want to modify the code, including changes such as porting Maximus to various operating systems, in addition to a number of other feature requests (like web support). I suspect that people will also want to modify the source base to use a more current Makefile system and to support other sets of compiler tools.... read more
