When switching from a virtual desktop (or page) with an MRXVT window to another page and then back again, if the content of the active MRXVT tab has changed, the text will be garbled. Rather than re-drawing properly, it seems to super-impose all the updates that have happened since the last time the window was visible. It seems like this should be relatively easy to fix; just re-draw the entire window when it becomes visible again. I just don't know either X11 or MRXVT well enough to fix it myself.

Sorry, i cannot reproduce your problem using fluxbox (devel), kde3 and kde4.
Please provide detailed information about your windowmanager/desktop-environment and it's settings.

Yes I don't reproduce either and I am switching a lot from desktop, tabs, etc.

When you say it is "garbled", could you make a screenshot of what this means? With this I may understand better what happens (or be hinted). As I am currently working on many parts of mrxvt, I could see some of the redrawing parts. So this is the best time to see this (later on, I will have forgotten everything ;-).

Oh and some other point: tell us which version of mrxvt + options you used at compile time (if you didn't compile yourself but got a binary from a distribution, tell us your mrxvt version and your running platform, this way we may find maybe which options the binary has been compiled with). Compil options are important for such matters because mrxvt has several different ways to draw stuffs on screen (and this is such a mess!).
