I listen to a lot of classical music with *very* long
track titles; ID3v1 cuts off nearly half of some of
them. Can ID3v2 be implemented?

    hm..

what about re-using abilities of in_mp3.dll, got from
Nullsoft? i believe it wouldn't be so hard to call some f-n
from that lib by giving apropriate parameters to those f-ns.

I second this motion. Most, if not all, of my CDs have
ID3v2 tags, and many of them (especially the classical
ones) have long titles. I'm not sure how this would affect
code optimization, but an option at least will be nice.

    I support this feature!

I will not use this until it has
    ID3v2 tags are supported.

Please please implement IDv2, and bettery yet, also IDv3,
PLEASE. About 3/4 of my songs completely lack an IDv1 tag
because, who the heck wants to use such a highly limited
standard when every mp3 decoder out there (but this one)
supports IDv2 and a great majority of those also support IDv3.
.. (I mean no offense, but facts are facts...) It's getting
pretty old not being able to see titles or anything for most of
    my songs.

And I imagine all they have to do is find some library out there
and then they'd only have to make a few minor changes here
and there to integrate it, ne?

Well, I started using MADPlay for a few things (primarily
just as a decoder to decode MP3 to WAV so I can still get
the better quality without going through Winamp for
everything.) I noticed that it uses a libIDV3... Sounds to
me like all that needs to be done is someone just take
the latest version of MAD and make a plugin of that. All
the rest should be done already I think. BTW, I noticed
that this hasn't been updated in a REALLY long time.
Doesn't anyone else think it's a little overdue anyway?
