Whoa! That looks like a messed up progress bar. Can you give me a bit more details? Which network management do you use, which Linux distro, which version of Mac4Lin, which version of gnome and finally can you post a bigger screenshot which covers more of your desktop?

My guess is that network manager is screwed up and is using the wrong image for displaying the progress bar. I dunno how to reproduce this problem since I don't use network (it acts crazy on my system and breaks everything). Let me see what I can do about it.
