I spent some time reading this code and produced the
following documentation patch. I hope this is acceptable.

For the most part it includes only brief descriptions of
functions and of structures used.

Also updated filesystems/localfs/localfs.c comment regarding
the need to special case '.' and '..' entries (obsoleted by work
in dircache.c).

The sources for this patch were from CVS, 4/11/03.

    I just wanted to note that I am having the same problem with sshfs. I tried
    several older versions of lufs, and I found that this problem was introduced
    in lufs-0.9.0pre1. In version 0.8.3 it works fine. Hopefully that will help
    the developers track the problem down.
