I should additionally mention some buggy behavior which would be fixed by implementing this feature request: When recording from the matrix editor, the main scrolling window sometimes does not show the new notes. One has to close the matrix editor then hit ctrl-A (select all) -- only then does the yellow bar with notes in it appear.

This has the important benefit of making sure the user knows whether or not they are recording properly. I have attempted to record pieces, only to realize minutes later that nothing I've been playing has been recorded. The fact that one has to push a bunch of record buttons does not help this problem: it only makes it worse. The solution to this problem, to me it seems, is to either implement this feature request or to have something like a flashing red background on the track(s) you're recording onto.

Right, I think this is implemented in the 1.0 codebase. I don't think this will happen for the 0.9 code.
