installing lmule, cannot find -lxrc

I have installed
wxGTK
wxGTK-common
wxGTK-devel
wxGTK-stc
wxGTC-xrc

I still get this error while make install:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lxrc
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [lmule] Error 1

Any suggestions to overcome this error and install is requested.

  xmule is the rename of lmule that happened over a year 3/4 ago...
