No

After activating the picture-cache-plugin, LinPHA
claimed that the given directory (standard one) is not
writeable. Permissions are okayseems to be unable to
create a new folder. I used the LinPHA-filemanager to
create one. LinPHA accepted but no images were shown.

Apache errorlog says
"convert: unable to open image
'./sql/cache/9/799-75-384-512--.jpg': No such file or
directory."

Again, I used the LinPHA-filemanager to create the
subdirectories numbered 1 till 9. After that, the
plugin worked fine as it should.

So, LinPHA or its plugin seems to be somehow unable to
create folders automatically. Permission were set right
because creating directories with the included
filemanager worked well.

My System:
AMD Athlon-TBird 1,3 GHz; 384 MB RAM
Gentoo Linux (stable)
Kernel 2.6.15
Apache 2.0.55-r1
PHP 4.4.0
ImageMagick 6.2.5.5
LinPHA 1.1.0

    Hi Jan,

just did a quick test and all worked fine. The
/sql/cache/{x} directory is already created during install.
As you have to chmod the sql dir during install, I wonder
why it shouldn't work due permission problems.
Did you afresh clean install, or an upgrade from a previous
    version?

    Thanks!

    cheers bzrudi

    Hi,

it was a new install on a newly installed system (broken
    memory can have devastating consequence).

I just tried to install it again in another directory, and
you're right: The directories are indeed created during install.

So I logged in, activated the cache-plugin. Everything is
still fine. Now I try to limit the amount of space the
plugin is allowed to use. In the moment I click on "Submit",
the cache-directory disappears. Additionally, a ./ is added
in the cache-directory-field. So if theres already
"./sql/cache" in the field, it is "././sql/cache" afterwards.

By the way, it doesn't matter wich value I enter as allowed
size. Even if I just open up the page and click on "Submit"
without changes, the directory is being deleted and the
    cache-directory-field is being changed.

    Greetings,
    Jan
