LDAP Administrator / News: Recent posts

As mentioned in the previous post, we decided to switch from C++ to python. We pretty much finished porting all the code across, and added some extra stuff in the process.

However, due to various reasons we haven't done anything on it for a while. And it doesn't seem all that likely we'll be getting back to it in the near future.

If anyones slightly interested in what we've done, or may be doing, feel free to send us email.

A quick note to you to say yes, we are still alive.

We have, however, had a slight change in direction.

We've come to the conclusion that C++ is not quite the right tool for this job (close, but not quite), and so we're switching to Python. Currently we've got some basic stuff working (no plugins yet, but this is in the works). We're also switching away from using KDE widgets in the interests of platform independance.... read more

LDAP Administrator 0.5 alpha 1 was released yesterday night.

It is not yet feature complete. The sourceforge task list has a list of tasks which need to be completed for 0.5.
