Sorry to be very upset with you guys but my problems is such that I cannot be but extremely upset. Whenever I start up Explorer and then my mail programs I get a small "about Lame mp3" box in the upper left corner. I cannot get rid of this box except by clicking "ok" which then causes Explorer to crach. The name mentioned is Steve LHomme.

Please, please how do I get rid you??????????

    If you are using WinXP, then you could give the FhG decoder a higher priority on the Audio Compression Manager configuration page. To uninstall the LAME ACM, click uninstall on your installed software panel.

    I have the exact same problem but with Windows 7, 64 bit and only when I open AOL mail. I would uninstall your darn program, but I guess it is combined with Pinnacle DVD software somewhere, which I paid for. You really need to fix the issue. I will be notifying Pinnacle next if it is not resolved ASAP and requesting a refund from them.

    Lame crashes IE and can not be uninstall, this program is malware, do not install it.

    If the LAME ACM MP3 codec was installed using our install script, then you can easily uninstall it. Go to Windows control panel, where you usually manage your installed programs, and click on "LAME ACM MP3 codec" to uninstall it.

    If it was part of some third party bundle, ask the provider of that bundle, how to uninstall the LAME ACM codec only.

    I also receive this error message, but cannot find the LAME codec on my machine to uninstall. I have no idea how it came to be on my computer. Is there any advice you can give me to help solve this problem?

    I am having the same problem. I, too, would uninstall the program if I had any idea how to locate it. Every time I access my work email from home I get a pop-up Lame MP3 codec v09.2-3.98 box, and IE closes my program.
    Unfortunately, I don't know what Robert (above) means by my "installed software panel." Stumped.

    What did you install, that included LAME ACM?
    Are you using Windows XP?

    On my XP machine:
    deinstalling: START -> Systemsteuerung -> Software -> { LAME ACM entfernen }
    audio codec manager: START->Systemsteuerung->System->Gerätemanager->Audiocodecs-> { Properties }
