I keep getting this message too. I'm a lawyer, not a computer fanatic who cares about lame development, and the message is blocking access to my work intranet from home. I have no recollection of consenting to the installation of lame - certainly wouldn't if I thought it would block my work.
It's very annoying and a waste of my time.
I've seen your suggested fix and have tried to follow the instructions, but LAME AMC is not listed in my downloaded programme files and I can not find the Audio/Video filter settings of my Windows setup control panel (there is no file named "audio/video settings").
I am sorry for being such a nerdy non-IT freak and not knowing the correct terminology (I'm making a guess that you would be similarly unfamiliar with the litigation terminology that's used in court!)
So please could you explain in lay person's language how I can get rid of the block and get on with my work (I use Windows 7 professional).
Thanks

Got the same problem, very frustrating, can we take any legal action?
