As you know, Ubuntu takes its packages from debian, currently debian sid is providing krecipes-1.0~beta2. This version was uploaded after jaunty release, so jaunty is providing 1.0~beta1 (i.e. the jaunty users can't use the sqlite backend) so I've uploaded packages targeted to ubuntu jaunty here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/krecipes/files/

If you are using karmic koala, you should install the official ubuntu packages as you use to do.
