I'm currently running on 2.29 and I'm getting a meesage that 2.30 is available. when I go to the link, there are two versions that show up. The Classic Edition is 1.29, and the Professional Edition is 2.30. I didn't think my install was a Professional version. I using it on my personal laptop. Should I do the Professional Update? If not, how do I stop it from popping up every time I launch KeePass? Thanks.

The term "professional" edition may be misleading you. The licensing is the same for both versions. There is a link to the feature comparision just below the download link. http://keepass.info/compare.html
You are using release 2.29. Release. 2.30 is just the next version.

@Paul: I think the OP's question was less about how to turn the update messages on or off, and more about what to download after following the link in the update dialog - and I'll admit to being a little confused about this myself the first few times.

Tools > Options > Advanced, Start and Exit, Check for update at KeePass startup.
