Bugs item #1510083, was opened at 2006-06-21 18:19 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636951&aid=1510083&group_id=104103 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: KAddressbook/Pi Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: daniel3000 (daniel3000) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Beam activation / deactivation status Initial Comment: When menu Datei / Beame / Beam (IR) Empfang AN (German version, sorry) is tapped, console output says "KA: AB enable BeamReceive". If the same menu item is tapped once more, console output says: "KA: AB disable BeamReceive", although the menu item is still labeled "AN" (=on), and not "AUS" (=off). Some kind of status feedback would be good, e.g. by changing the menu item label from AN to AUS if beam receive is active. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636951&aid=1510083&group_id=104103 |

Category: KOrganizer/Pi Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: daniel3000 (daniel3000) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Default config settings overwrite customized ones Initial Comment: Special situation, but probably applies to quite some users: I have stored the kdepim data files on an SD card and have set KO/PI and KA/PI to fastload. When the card is not inserted when booting, KO/PI complains about absent data files and seems to load a default configuration. When the SD card is inserted and KO/PI is closed, KO/PI overwrites the config files on the SD card with the default configuration. Since the config files are not backupped automatically, it is not easy to restore the configuration. So my suggestion is to either add the config files to the automatic backup process of kdepim/pi or to let the apps ask the user if in such cases the config files are written anew. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636951&aid=1509174&group_id=104103 |

Category: KOrganizer/Pi Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: daniel3000 (daniel3000) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cursor jumps in journal edit field when autosaving Initial Comment: While writing a journal, when KO/PI saves automatically, the cursor is reset to the beginning of the journal field. So when writing a journal text it is sometimes necessaray to re-position the cursor manually to the end of the text to continue writing (and to delete some text accidentally appended to the beginning of the journal ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: daniel3000 (daniel3000) Date: 2006-01-25 17:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1305326 Even worse: If you have several journals for one day, and scaled one to fullscreen to work with it, this auto-save rescales it to part of the screen and shows the other journals again as well. AND it jumps to the beginning, as said in first comment. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636951&aid=1374213&group_id=104103 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Mark (cardome51) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: scroll wheel changes month Initial Comment: It would be nice if the action of the scroll wheel could be configured for KO/PI for the windows version. In month view it would be nice if the scroll wheel could change week or month and in day view it would scroll the window. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636954&aid=1403577&group_id=104103 |

Category: KAddressbook/Pi Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Gary (garyjw) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Addressbook scales poorly Initial Comment: The addressbook (2.2.5) scales very poorly. I am using the Zaurus version, and attempting to import 4000 names and extension numbers. On the Zaurus this is only possible if swap is enabled and loading performance is extremely slow (minutes to launch, and import time a good proportion of an hour). It appears to me that the addressbook is purely memory based and reads and writes the entire data set on launch and closure. Has a database paradigm been considered for storage? (I note the Sharp DTM addressbook that comes with the Zaurus SL-C3100 can easily handle this number of contacts with good performance, but unfortunately has a much poorer interface and functionality than ka/pi) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=636951&aid=1399505&group_id=104103 |
