In release of 7/1 the schema changed

In KAON release of 7/1/2003 the schema of the database was changed in order to fix a bug related to inverse properties. Please update your existing databases appropriately.

KAON supports queries

The new KAON 1.2.5 version now supports querying KAON ontologies. Please refer to the Developer's Guide for details.

Additional databases supported

The KAON Engineering Server now works with the following databases:

- MS SQL Server 2000
- PostgreSQL
- IDB DB2
- Oracle 9i

It may also work with other databases, but hasn't been tested on any other database.

KAON Engineering Server beta released!

The 1.2 Version of KAON contains the KAON Engineering Server - an ontology server that works on a relational database. This server is radically different in the design from the existing RDF server, and thus offers SIGNIFICANT performance improvements.

For example, the server has been tested with an ontology of 100000 concepts, 700000 instances and 200000 properties. Operations such as loading and changing the ontology now take only a couple of seconds.... read more
