The JUnit Toolkit is currently being used to take performance measurements for the Apache Incubator project: Qpid.

Qpid is an open source message oriented middleware (MOM) product, made freely available through the Apache Software Foundation. It is an implementation of the new industry standard Advanced Message Queueing Protocol (AMQP).

Measurements are being taken for message throughput (num/sec), message latency, data throughput (bytes/sec), accross a range of messaging topologies from point-to-point to publisher/subscriber.
