Jumentum 0.95-4 released

After a long wait Jumentum 0.95-4 is released. This release adds a number of features. Foremost are ports to the Win32 and Linux architectures. These use the winpcap and TUN/TAP drivers respectively and allows one to try Jumentum without a microcontroller. Of course hardware features are not available; this is mostly for debugging and to play with the BASIC language itself.

Also new are bit-banging features for performing I2C, SPI (serial peripheral interface), and UART functions through any pin of the microcontroller. Note I2C requires a one-transistor circuit to implement an open collector input/output for SDA. Bit-banged I/O simplifies hardware interfacing as it allows all the pins of the microcontroller to be used for these protocols.... read more

Version 0.94 of Jumentum-SOC Available

Version 0.94 of Jumentum-SOC has been released. The release is to incorporate support for the LPC23xx series microcontrollers. The LPC2378 microcontroller is supported on the Olimex LPC-P2378 evaluation board. The LPC23xx includes built-in ethernet, so for these microcontrollers an external ENC28J60 is not required. Therefore the Olimex LPC2378 can be used without modification with Jumentum-SOC.
