When adding a text object (or editing it by
selecting it then pressing F2), simply wrap your
text string in a $..$, or prepend a size changing
command to it, e.g. \large, \footnotesize,...
There's unfortunately no practical and efficient
way to do the job directly from jPicEdt,
considering the huge variety of TeX
distributions/installations (let alone the
presence of user-defined commands in the preamble
of the LaTeX document, which even complicates
things further).

Could you please clarify what you expect, do you mean that the viewer should be able to replace text element by some small pictures of what the LaTeX compilation would result in ?

Could you please clarify what you expect, do you mean that the viewer should be able to replace text element by some small pictures of what the LaTeX compilation would result in ?
